Description

Bethania Methodist Chapel was built in 1809, rebuilt in 1832 and 1872. The present chapel, dated 1872, is built in the Simple Round-Headed and Sub-Classical style of the long-wall entry type. The facade has 6 openings and square headed doorways to either end above which are semicircular headed windows. To the centre are two similar windows, between which is a slate datestone inscribed: 'Bethania/ Y Trefnyddion Calfinaid,/ A Adeiladwyd Yn 1832/ Ac A Helaethwyd Yn 1872/ Gan James Williams/ Builder Aberystwyth'. The chapel is Grade 2 listed.
