Description
Bethel Methodist Chapel was built in 1790, rebuilt in 1805 and 1848, and altered/renewed in 1900. The present chapel, dated 1900 is built in the Later Vernacular style of the long-wall entry type. Bethel has stone walls and a slate roof. A plaque bears the inscription: "Bethel /Aberarth Addoldy yr /TREFNYDDION CALFINAIDD., /Adeiladwyd yn y flwyddin / 1805. / Ailadeiladwyd yn y flwyddyn /1848". The chapel is now Grade 2 listed as a simple but spacious lateral-fronted chapel with original box-pews.
