Description
This Georgian-Victorian house sited close to the well-know medieval site is depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Brecknockshire XXXV, sheet 15 (1888, 1904). It lies within the core of the village and overlooks a modest kitchen garden which on the early maps had a small SW-facing greenhouse. From AP evidence, this was in use unti the 1950s. There was also a carriage drive and grand approach. The name Tretower House does not appear until 1904.
