Description
The gardens to Llanelwedd Hall (nprn 81325) are depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Brecknockshire of 1888 and 1904. The principal elements shown include a walled garden, carriage drive, ornamental ponds, glasshouses, lawns and extensive parkland. The site of the garden is now within the Royal Welsh Showground (nprn 268049) and little remains apart from the walls of the walled garden, some minor earthworks and a handful of large conifer trees which mark original Edwardian plantings.
