Description
NAR SH28SW7
A denuded and otherwise ruined cairn showing elements of a large cist or chamber, set on the highest point of a large outcrop.
The cairn was roughly oval in plan, in the region of 13.5m by 15m and 1.0-2.0m high. Within it was a kerb of recumbent stones describing an egg-shape, about 10.3m north-south by 8.3m. Three upright stones in the western part of the kerbed area may represent a very large ruined cist or else a small megalithic chamber.
The three upright stones are now all that remain of the monument.
