Description
Dug into the hill side directly to the east of the farmstead of Penlanscubor (NPRN: 405538) are the remains of two pits measuring 2.5m long by 2m wide. The most likely interpretation of these features is that they are root vegetable stores, like those preserved adjacent to the farmstead of Penlandoppa just to the west (NPRN: 405552). Whether these relate directly to the period that the Penlanscubor was occupied is unclear.

These stores were surveyed by RCAHMW in 2006 as part of a wider study of the Troed y Rhiw area (NPRN: 405578).
