Description
The West Junction Canal was a short canal built to connect the Glamorganshire Canal (nprn 34425) with the Bute West Dock (nprn 34257), and was being bridged by (from west to east) the canal towpath, Bute Road, the Taff Vale Railway (nprn 91550) docks branch and a footbridge. The junction canal allowed passage of timber and coal and patent fuel boats between canal and docks. The canal has been filled in and only the railway bridge (nprn 34877) survives.
